The National Anthem
O Canada! Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all of us command
With glowing hearts we see thee rise
The true North strong and free!
From far and wide, O Canada
We stand on guard for thee
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee
O Canada was proclaimed as the National Anthem in 1980. It was first sung in Quebec City in 1880. There are three versions of the National Anthem: English, French and bilingual (part of the anthem is sung in English, part is sung in French).
